  1. Make a police report and file the SAS (Singapore Accident Statement), for property damages and injuries (report must be made within 24 hours)
  2. Check and make sure if there is any injuries (driver or passenger)
  3. Take down the third party particulars (e.g name, contact number, car plate number & a copy of their IC or driving license)
  4. If you are a Private Hire Driver and vehicle does not belong to you, kindly inform the rental company and require to obtain company's and vehicle information.
  5. Photographs of all vehicles that are involved in the accident
  6. Drive to your preferred repair shop/reporting centre. But if your car is not drivable, you may contact a tow truck for assistance
  7. File a claim against the insurance to claim for your damages, repairs and injuries. 


What are the types of Car Accident-related claims?

  • Third-Party Claims - refers to the opposite driver's at fault, you are entitled to file a claim against his insurance for the repairs and injuries. 

Therefore, it is important to exchange contact information as mentioned above, so that the legal advisors will be able to process the case immediately. 

  • Personal Injury Claims - refers to people who was involved in the accident and sustained an injuries.

  • Own-Damage Claims - refers to if you are at fault for causing an accident. You may file a claims against your insurance for your own repairs and injuries.
